When Starbucks rolls out the Pumpkin Spice Latte, you know it’s Fall. You know what Fall means – cozy sweaters, light weight jackets and boots, oh my. But what about your favorite t-shirts? Do you really have to abandon them just because the temperature has dropped? Not at all. You can absolutely still wear your t-shirts during Fall. Here are 5 ways to transition your t-shirts from Summer to Fall:
1. Add a Blazer:
The blazer + t-shirt combo is by far my favorite way to transition a t-shirt from Summer to Fall. Also, a blazer adds a little bit of sophistication to a casual tee.
2. Throw on a Cardigan:
Another way to take your t-shirt from Summer to Fall is to throw on a stylish cardigan. Katrice of My Vicarious Lyfe is the master of the t-shirt + cardigan combination – she makes it look so effortless and chic.
3. Break out the Leather Jacket:
You absolutely can’t go wrong with the t-shirt and leather jacket combo – it goes together like peanut butter and jelly. And even if you’re not into leather because wearing it goes against your personal beliefs, there are tons of vegan/faux leather options that are equally as stylish.
4. Don a Denim Jacket:
The t-shirt + denim jacket is another classic combination that you can use to transition your t-shirt from Summer to Fall. But you may want to steer away from pairing it jeans to avoid the matchy-matchy/ “Canadian tuxedo” look.
5. Lots of Layers:
Layering a long sleeve, button down shirt and a jacket with your t-shirt is another way to transition your tee for Fall. Personally, I love using cozy flannels for layering over t-shirts; they’re so nice and warm. Layering with a long sleeve shirt is also a great opportunity to not only add texture to your look, but pattern as well. Who says t-shirts can’t be fashionable?
